When I started my clothing line, I hired photographers to shoot for me because I was busy with other stuff. But I wasn’t getting the amazing content I was used too.
THIS IS WHERE THINGS CHANGED FOR ME.
One night, I decided I would be the photographer for NG to start shooting the quality photography I wanted. I was super nervous as I had planned a photo shoot the next day for a week and I had never actually shot with lighting, I was always the model and David did it.
But all those years of being a model and watching David and helping him started to come back.
Then I went online that night and started watching Lindsay Adler photography videos on lighting and printed out looks I wanted to try for my photo shoot. And the rest is history! Here I am a professional photographer with my own studio.
Life has a funny way of taking us down unexpected paths, leading us to discover hidden passions and talents we never knew existed. For me, photography was never a part of the plan. I never had any formal training or a passion for it.
In college, I started modeling but was never into it, just the money. It wasn’t until many years later in 2007, when I started my business, that I started to take modeling seriously because I needed quality photos and videos of myself for my website.
This is where I discovered a photographer named David, that would change my path. Together we made amazing content. He was such a talented photographer and knew lighting so well. He taught me how important it was to find the best hair and makeup person for a shoot. He showed me how to make simple sets that would look amazing in photos. He taught me how to shoot pinup and other retro photography.
I didn’t realize when we were shooting together that I was learning from him to become a photographer down the road. He shot content of me for my website for about 7 years before I moved on to other stuff with my business.
MY UNPLANNED JOURNEY INTO THE

I learned a lot from David and had a blast working with him but I was ready to venture out on my own and try a different style: travel photography with natural lighting.
I was traveling to all these beautiful locations around the world and wanted to shoot stunning content. Plus I had just opened my boutique, Naughty Girl, so I was also wearing the clothes in my photos.
I had fun shooting content around the world but I missed the studio, controlled lighting, building sets, themes and A/C.
